Hugs I hope they open again and you still have your jobs. As you said no matter where you live jobs are few and far between. Wishing you the best of luck.

My son used to work for Red Lobster (same parent company as Olive Garden). He seemed to find them a pretty good company to work for. Best wishes for a positive interview!

Sorry to hear your news, good luck with the interview.

Hubby and I have been out of work since March 09, hope you don't end up in the same boat.

Sorry to hear it, but ...

    a. It doesn't sound like your boss has decided yet, so the restaurant may reopen.

    b. You have a REALLY solid work history, and a ton of good experience, which is a huge help in finding similar work. Yes, it's a tough job market, but not everyone who gets laid off stays unemployed for months. Some people still get to pick and choose their jobs. You have the marketable skills to be one of them. So aim high! Interview at several restaurants, and pick the offer that you like best.

I do understand your situation - I was terminated 2 months ago, thank God for unemployment. Do not wait go apply immediately it will help. It may not be your full salary, but it will be something. I'll keep you in my prayers.

Let us know how things are going! I know this is nerve-racking, but as others said, you have a solid work history. Hang in there!
