Guilty Pleasure

I've watched it but . . . as the mother of a twelve year old I would NEVER allow anyone to talk to her the way Abby talks to the dancers. I'd also never allow myself to be talked to that way. That being said, she sure gets results.
I went to school with a girl who was being trained as an Olympic gymnast. She had a love/hate relationship with the training. She was doing some flips at a football game and broke her leg. As they carried her out on a stretcher she was laughing and saying "I don't have to go to practice." over and over. Sometimes I think it's the
unfulfilled dreams of the mother that keep the push going.

I only watch a few shows where our neighbors son was on, as soon as he was off I never watch a show like that again
I can not stand how they treated each other, when I hear it`t that type, I have no wish to see it.

It seems like while the "soap operas" are going away, there is an upswing in the number of shows with b*tchy females - Dance Moms, Toddlers & Tiaras, Bad Girls, Real Housewives, etc. I can't stand watching any of them.

As for Toddlers & Tiaras, can't stand that show. If I want toddler melt down i'll let my grandson get overtired and hopped up on sugar, that's all it would take.

I totally agree also. Where has tv gone to. I wouldn't give that woman five minutes of my time. It seems all people don on tv anymore is belittle others, and what is this teaching our kids. I say boycott allllll these kinds of shows especially when children are involved.

I'm hooked on Dance Moms. I think a lot of that is staged. It just amazes me that those mothers think dancing is that important. Have they checked on the life of a dancer - Broadway, stage, - salary, eating disorders, injuries, lifestyle? I never see any thought about class studies or homework. I can't even imagine the cost of competitions in other cities, lessons, new costumes weekly, and all that make-up.

I'm sorry, I have watched it a couple of times and I feel for those kids. Those are the kids that are going to be stuck up in school and treat others as if they are better. I hate to see little kids made up like that and not allowed to be kids. I don't have a problem with them developing talent when they are young but not when it involves back stabbing. Maybe I watched the wrong episodes but I didn't like what I saw. I'm not a big fan of reality TV anyway's. The closest I come is that I like The Biggest Loser because I know what they are going thru trying to lose weight and the only talk shows that I like are Dr Oz and Rachael Ray.
