Innova (makers of the Innova longarm) just announced that they are expecting 20+" of rain in the Houston area starting Friday. Their communications provider for their 24/7 support has told them that they won't be providing service for them starting at noon on Friday through at least Monday. Customers who need support are told to call their local dealers during that time. It looks like it will be a serious storm, although we can hope it fizzles out and doesn't flood Houston again.

I'm just hoping it blows out. Usually we get two cats down from what it hits land at. Husband is outside doing some stuff. I've been putting water in gallon jugs and freezing them. I'll be bottling more water tomorrow. Plus I've put some filtered water in pitchers for us to drink.
Truck is full of gas. We have food and paper plates, flashlights, all the normal stuff. Of course, we don't have the generator that my husband has been talking about getting ever since Ike

Its raining hard here now. I need to go into the office to do some backups in a few minutes. I'm hoping that electric holds but I'm figuring we'll lose it sometime tonight. Even though I've been thru this before and know how to prepare, I'm still a bit nervous.

We moved to Seabrook/Kemah two years ago. We have never been in a hurricane. My son has a three story house and we will be on the second floor. It looks out over the channel from the bay of Galveston. We have plenty of water, food and a go bag packed. I am going to try to get some sewing/quilting done before power goes out.
