Call me cheap, but I don't spend big bucks on clothes. I like hand me downs and Goodwil clothes. I just can't see spending money on high price clothes. I'd rather save the money and take a vacation.

As long as people are crazy enough to buy such things, manufactures are SMART enough to make them and put them on the market. Why do we say yes to this kind of merchandise or let our children buy them? Boy where do young people get that kind of money to spend $179 on a pair of torn, worn jeans?

It's not only the American consumer. I lose my breath when I see what Norwegians pay for everything... The average cost of a yard (meter) of fabric is $28! I haven't bought clothes or fabrics here in years. I wait til I get home to the good ole USA

The prices are just one of the reasons I love living here. Yes we know that prices are going up and we all have to be better shoppers. I remember back in 1985 going to Europe and gas was already $5/gal and we said that it would never get that high here ha ha ha. Mostly political reasons for this craziness and it is up to US to make the changes.

I use Lancome everything for my face but of course I get a discount shopping on base BUT running shoe prices are outrageous! A decent pair for running is at least $100 or more if you don't want knee and back problems and shin splints. Ridiculous! And I'm not even trying to get the cute ones!!!! I want function and quality....$125. Huh?
