Has anyone seen this movie -- what did you think? I read the book (which was just fantastic) and my daughter and I are thinking of seeing the movie this coming Tuesday. She thinks, if nothing else, the "eye candy" will be worth the money

The book is always better then the movie. I was really surprised that many of my friends had never read Gone With the Wind and said it was their favorite movie and loved the character of Scarlet. I told them you know Scarlet abandoned her children don't you? What children? Her child died. In the movie she had one child. The book is very different.

Hmmmm, maybe I do need to read Gone With the Wind!! It's also my favorite movie of all time!! But, you're right, movies never live up to the books -- sometimes the only thing the movie and book have in common is the name....

I saw Shutter Island yesterday -- my husband and I went in with no idea what the movie was about. It was definitely...odd. I figured out the "twist" almost immediately, but it was still pretty entertaining. Not sure how closely it follows the book, though.

Havent seen it but I loved the book. I am deciding if I want to go watch it or if I think it will be a dissappointment compared to the book.
