This morning regular gas was $3.06 a gal. I usually start a list at the beginning of the week and on Fridays, after work, I go to the grocery store & Walmart (they are next to each other). I live 13 miles from work and town. I agree with Susan go see your Mom every chance you get.

I have to go fill up the tank today...and I was just on line looking at gas prices...I'm trying to think which way I am going, so that I can get the most out of the trip.
I stopped by a friend that owns an antique shop earlier this week...she says that she hasn't seen me since the Oct. She is right...we have emailed many times but I have become a hermit. Of course, I'm not counting that I am on here a bit. :oops:

I also plan my driving days around getting several things done in one trip. No more "road trips" looking for garage sales or just out to the mall to browse. The one thing I haven't given up is my quilting group. It takes me an hour to get there... but it's worth it.! :-)

Gas here this morning went to $3.14 a gal, and will probally just keep going up. I hear talk of $5 a gal by labor day. What that means for LQS is that we will have to do more selling over the internet. The classifieds on this site offer a great opportunity to do just that.

Other than complaining about gas, it really hasnt changed how I do things. I get about 27 miles to a gallon and I need to go where I need to go.

At $4 a gallon, my hubby will take the train to work instead of driving. He drives 67 miles each way to work but the train takes a little over an extra hour each day to get there and is restrictive on when he has to leave. Get delayed at work for ten minutes and set waiting an hour for the next train. At $4 a gallon we have figured it is worth the hassle.

Not really -- not yet. We live in the country, so our trips to buy groceries/errands (35 miles away) are done only one time a week. When summer comes and we want to camp -- that'll be another story! I'm praying things settle down by summer of 2012. We've been planning a trip to Alaska.....as it is now, we won't be going.

Oh -- GROCERY prices may cause me to lose weight!!!!!!!

I commute 100 miles a day to work.
I put $50 in the tank this morning and it only gave me a half tank. $3.30 a gallon.

Gas prices are killing me!

Yes. Since I don't drive much, I've just used our huge (F450) RV hauler when I needed to go to town. At 10mpg it's just too expensive to drive unless we need to haul something, so I bought myself a teensy little car!

On top of that, we're expanding our gardens, adding to the orchard, and getting ready to add chickens and rabbits to our little 5 acre place.

I live in a very rural area and we decide to travel the 40 miles one way to the bigger stores, we get everything done in one shot. I like being a homebody! LOL

I am making my garden bigger too this year, and freezing more. I am sure the higher gas prices will cause the food to go up, too, because of shipping!
