Yes I work for the Presidental Parking there at Mt Rushmore in the summer and I love it, you meet so many great and nice people! We live just East of Keystone and such beautiful country in the hills, everyone should see it once in a lifetime!!

We are traveling across country this summer on the motorcycle and Mt. Rushmore is part of our "bucket list."

No they quit the fireworks last year as the pine beatles are really bad here and afraid of fire! Really miss them but would rather give up fireworks than be evacuated like we were a few years ago! While you are driving around the hills notice the tops of trees they are brown on top, that is pinebeatles! Nasty little varmits

Went out there twice during Sturgis bike week and can't wait to go again. Definitely worth seeing and I agree with all the other posts. There is so much to see. Absolutely breathtaking. Absolutely have to drive through Spearfish Canyon (that's where my DH proposed in 2005 by a waterfall), the Badlands are unbelievable, Devil's Tower, go through Custer National Park - the Needles are neat. Definitely a must do! We can't wait to go back.

We have been there a few times and I would definately go back. We went to the light show also, great to see during the day. SD has tons of things to see. There is a Passion Play that is great, the Badlands and National Parks are fantastic. Swimming in a natural hot springs pool is very nice and if you have kids the jellystone and dinasour parks are fun. The places where they are doing unearthing wooly Mammoth are fun also. Get a discover SD booklet and find all the great things. To many things to remember.

Have been there several times and it never fails to amaze me. Others have said, and it is so true, that there are many manmade and natural sites to see in the area that it is well worth time spent exploring.

If you want quiet, just don't go during the Sturgis Motorcyle Rally.....;-)

We go once a year, it is a amazing creation! Did you get a chance to see the Crazy Horse light show as well? That is something else that is very moving in that area.
