I only did it once, and DH took over the finances...WIN for me. We had overdraft protection, so no checks bounced, but boy did we get hit with a credit card bill the next month! It'll be ok. He'll get over it and it'll just be blip!

We all have done similar things. Divide your house payment by 4 weeks, then put this amount each week into a different account(ex.saving). Then you have the amount for montly payment.
You could even divide by 5 weeks this will give you an extra payment.
Hope it all works out for you.

I can top this! Made a bank deposit of $3500 to cover taxes, and pay off three credit cards. Two numbers were 'transposed' by the automated reader and put the $ into someone else's account. I had three checks bounce ($30 coverage fee each) and the taxes were deliquent. Made the trip to the bank, and it was all made right and taxes were credited with no late fees.

Wasn't life so much easier when you only had checks that you had to mail or cash? With all this online stuff and plastic cards it is so hard to make mistakes.

Okay...I'm showing my age. Lately I've been yearning for my earlier days.
