I have been known to do that. Sometimes when I drive from my folks house to my home (across town) I won't remember the drive at all. That's not good because it's a very busy drive.

Yes, that has happened to me before. Sometimes I leave work and 15 minutes later I'm home, and wonder what happened in between. I think it just happens when there is a lot on your mind.

In the first Psychology Class I took, the Instructor explained how our minds go on "automatic pilot", esp when we are familiar with the route we're taking, or when our minds are on overload. Slow down if you're stressed.

Quite often. My son (43) says that the computer chip in my mind that tells me where I am is in good order.

The computer chip in my mind that tells me where I'm going is in
    good order.

The computer chip that tells me how to get there from here has been electrically disarranged and probably can never be fixed.
