I miss both lilacs and snow, but we never had snow quite like that where I grew up in Leavenworth, Kansas. Down here in SE Texas it's been in the 20's most of the day, which is very unusual in the daytime. This is the second bad winter in a row, and our tropical plants are suffering. Maybe I could grow lilacs after all. Meanwhile, I'm thinking leg warmers and hot chocolate would be nice. My DH thinks he's playing golf on Friday, and he probably will.

Wow, I am only an hour south of you and I have about 6 inches on the ground. We are too far away to get lake effect and were in the wintery mix portion of the big storms recently, so we got some sleet but almost no snow.
It will melt... it always does. Have faith.

Oh I feel for you. That would have been us last winter, this time we only have about 2 ft of snow on the ground. Its been extremely cold, but you don't have to shovel cold. Hang in there it WILL melt eventually.
