Have you met someone with an odd, famous, or funny name?

I got a phone call one night from a person called Yvan Dubois that can be translated by *He sells wood, My sister said the name out loud when she gave the phone, He heard my mother reply *Does he sells coal too!. I also worked for Mrs Lafleur (Flowers) owner of a florist shop. There is an obstetrician in Montreal called Dr C.Attendu which means *It is expected* he has the right name for his type of work.

I have a cousin, Martin Candee (emphasis on the second syllable), and was very surprised to learn that when he had a son, he named him Martin Milton Candee (Milton after his dad), which makes the child m&m candee!
I've heard of many others, but not all of them are very nice, so I'll stop there.

I knew 2 girls named Ima Rose Bush and Fonda Peters, and went to Elem. school with Tap Fawcett. One of the boys in Jr. Hi was Dick Long and we girls used to giggle so much when the gym teacher used to call roll last name first!

I went to high school with Jack Frost. There is a doctor in town named Dr. Dentist. For whatever reason it makes me think of this story.
My married last name is "Stanbro," which is a very unusual name. There are only about 100 in the entire country. My father-in-law was always talking about the misspellings they got in the mail. One was addressed to
Mr. St. Anbro, which became a family joke.
But his first two initials were H. A. Also, he grew avocados and sold them, so he had a small grove. One day he got mail addressed to "Haston Bros" Get it? HA Stan bro Forever after he called his place Haston Brothers Orchards.
He was a hoot. He died 15 years ago. I loved him as much as I loved my own father--maybe more.
