Cruelest name: I used to work with a Mr. Butz. His brother had a son and named him Harry, not Harold, but Harry. The man I worked with was livid because of all the teasing they had endured as children. He could not believe his brother would do that to his son.

My dentist when I was a child was named Dr. Panick. And that is exactly what I did every time I had to go there!

I've known a Sandy Beach and an Ivy Green.
A friend's last name was Black until she married a guy with the last name of Finger. Now she's Mrs. Black-Finger.
I knew someone who's name was Kelly Flynne. She married a guy named Bob Kelly. So now her name is Kelly Kelly.

I went to school with someone named Wardeana. I seen people name their children Latrina (like the outhouse) and Princess Love (first and last name, poor kid), Conswaylo (correct spelling). There were so many more over the years. I'll think of them later.

My best friend in high school was Elizabeth Taylor.
My mother went to college with Ivan Odor (he became a minister).
I knew a lady named Wilda Rose Bloom.
I met twins whose names were pronounced Or-anj-jelo and Le-mon-jelo (accents on second syllable) and and were spelled Orangejello and Lemonjello.
Met another lady with a child whose name I can't even spell out here, it incorporated quite a nasty word but with emphasis on creative pronunciation, it sounded fine if you didn't see it spelled out. Why do people do that to kids?

Many years ago I worked for a law firm...the partners were named Wiener and Hamburger...I swear it's the truth. A few years ago when I was working for a telephone company I had to assist one of our customers whose name was Pearly Gates...I thought he was kidding me but when I pulled up his phone records I was quite tickled that this really was his name. One more...I grew up in an ethnically-diverse neighborhood. Two of my BFFs were sisters who were born in Poland. Their names were Tuna and Poison--the French word for "fish")
