Met another lady with a child whose name I can't even spell out here, it incorporated quite a nasty word but with emphasis on creative pronunciation, it sounded fine if you didn't see it spelled out. Why do people do that to kids?
I worked at an insurance company years ago and a policy came through with the name (I don't know if I can spell it correctly, but you get the idea): Ieatit Burpit and then the last name.

When I was still doing hair there was a lady named Doris Day that came in. Her son and I were in the same grade. The first time she called for an appointment and told them her name the shop owner hung up on her because she thought it was a joke.

I went to school with Violet Green. My cousin named her daughter Kandy (their last name was Kane). Have a friend named Penny Nichols and know a guy named Bill Dollar.

How could I forget Precious Flowers???? Taught her many years ago. Went to school with a Lady Washington.

Then there's "fruh-jill-ay". Mother named her after seeing that beautiful name on something in the delivery room. Spelled: Fragile.

My sister's OB Doctor was Dr Done, her last nme was Overly so on the bassinet card it read Overly Done. The Dr who did my daughter's tonsilectomy was Dr Bushwhacker.
