Have you started your fall cleaning?

I take my clothes, purses, shoes, sweaters, sweatshirts, jackets to my local nursing home. Also knick nacks, craft supplies that they can use, things to decorate their rooms. They all enjoy the gifts. Please Everyone take your items to your local nursing homes.

I started mine today. I am sorting and getting rid of things that we no longer need.

I am also organizing my crafts. I have found duplicate quilt books, craft books, magazine, etc.

Also I love to collect old cookbooks and found I have duplicates.

A person can sure collect alot of stuff in the years. Hubby and I will celebrate our 36th anniversary on October 11th.

I love fall, the leaves are changing colors and autumn weather. It is to get to 82 today. I am going to make me some sun tea.

    Also cleaning out refrigerator.

Housework is never ever done. Always something to do.

Yes. I'm about 1/2 way done. I've made so many trips to Goodwill this week that I'm wearing ruts into the pavement.
I'm leaving my sewing room for last. I really don't want to put anything away in there. I like having everything surrounding me...

We will all motivate you to get started!

It is great to get rid of stuff we no longer need so it can help out others in need.

For the past 2 years, when I clean out my clothes closet, I wash everything up and take to our local nursing home, they appreciate it so much as those residents don't have much

We should all clean out our closets and donate clothes, purses, sweaters, jackets, etc. to our local nursing homes

Karen-- That's a great idea. I wish I'd thought of that.

Karen, this is such a good idea, I never thought to give to the nursing homes now I will. I really need motivation to get started. My son and wife came and rearranged my sewing room for my b-day in Sept. I love the new shelving and thought I would clear out some of the fabric I won't use, but NO it is all still here. Maybe I will get inspired from this post.
