Love the new series but was always a fan of the old one too. Where I live, I can watch the old reruns every week night at 8 pm then watch the new one at 10 pm. Think the new series does a good job.

Love the show. I've watched it from the beginning. I like all the actors and the characters that they portray.

Well, have to say even watched the original with Jack Lord...but I do not remember Ed Ashner be in the original way back when...will watch tonight and see it that refreshes my memories...

Love both the original and the new series. I agree, the producers did a great job updating the show without losing the feel for the islands.

yes I like the show and watch it. i like to see some of the places i remember and am amazed at the growth there since i was there last. WE were there from 1972-1976. we saw them taping the old h5o at my ex's building he was stationed in. Jack lord was really a nice person and the kids just loved him. my mom came for a visit once and it made her decades meeting the oriental guy that was on the show sorry i forgot his name. she never forgot that day.

My husband and I have been watching the original on Netflix for the last month, we watch several episodes a night and just started the 4th season

, it is fun to watch, he remembers when home use to look the way it does in Hawaii Five 0 and tells me stories about home (he is full Hawaiian I am native American) but he is home sick and so am I...If you watch the episodes back to back you will notice alot, like they use the same green car, they use alot of local actors too like Checkers (Checkers and Pogo) and Lucky Luck....
