Is there a specific brand of dog food that is without grain?

I too have a dog (lab) with floppy ears (mixed with RB Coon), vet bills, cultures etc. Finally figured out he's allergic to everything.
Grain, beef, chicken, fillers...changed his food to Taste of the Wild, Pacific Salmon and his ears cleared up.
Note, they were so bad and bothered him so much, while shaking his head he developed a large hematoma. They aren't something you want to wait on.

Good luck, hope your pup feels better soon (and you can get some relief)

I don't know anything about ear infections in dogs but my husband had an ear fungous for months. After many trips to an ear specialist and medicines, I finally looked up on line and found a home remedy. It was 1 Tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 1 Tablespoon of rubbing alcohol mixed together. I used an eye dropper to put about 2 drops in each ear 3 times a day. The last time my husband went for a checkup, both ears were completely healed up.

I have a 120 lb English Lab who has all the allergy, ear, etc problems. But, my Vet made the mistake of saying "yeast" infection. What lady hasn't had one of those? I think you can get that stuff over the counter now and it works great!

I have a cocker/lab mix. But she does have the cocker floppy ears. She was getting ear infections constantly too! And yes those vet bills add up. She was actually diagnosed with chronic ear infections. We were told that more than likely they would just keep reoccurring regardless of what we do. It is just part of the breed and just continue with prescriptions.
But what I did find that helped our dog was taking her to the groomers about every 8 weeks. I told our groomer that she had an ear infection so to watch that ear so it didn't get any more water in it. After I mentioned the ear infections she started to clean her ears really well. She would also shave the inside of her ears as well as giving them some sort of vinegar cleanse or something. Not really totally sure what all she does but I know that her ear infections have dramatically cleared up and now only gets them about once a year or so.

We used taste of wild for her. We used the salmon flavor. There are lots of them available and this one agreed with her. We found out that Canine Commissary carried a lot of the higher quality brands and were real knowledgeable in what was in each bag.

Our dal developed hematomas 2 times with surgery each time costing about $1000 together. The TOW made all the difference.

I definitely agree with getting a new culture, even if you've done it once already. I have beagles and one of mine almost always had a yeast infection and another ALWAYS had bacterial infections. The treatments are completely different.

Daily cleaning for a few weeks will help once the right medication is available; your vet should have a cleaning solution you can try.

Yep, got it at Walmart and used it in his ears for 7 days and they cleared right up. Don't use this unless you get it cultured but it's worth mentioning to your vet. Good luck!
tHIS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH cOCKERS, tOO!!!
I have had cockers for years, and usually it is a yeast infection for this bread... i had a beautiful black gal, and had to end up doing anear surg. that widened the ear canals for her. Monistat is what the vet had me use for her too!!! My friend, who is a cocker breeder uses the as well.... one of my "girls" use to let me put her ears up with a clip and never bothered to shake it off!! another way is to use a nylon stocking cut it at the to of the leg and above the knee, and make a sorta headband to hold the ears back... this helps airing them too
