Default HELP looking for seperating zippers

I am making covered sweatshirt jackets for toddlers thru 8 years old. I need separating zippers in 12", 14" and 16". Colors white, red, navy or black work for most but would take other colors. No heavy metal ones please.
I have been looking on line but most start at 22". Our local Joanns carry very few separating zippers in the shorter size. These jackets go to charity and I am having a "ball" working on them. I get to use my quilting scraps and lots of "bling" ribbons, lace, some with buttons (none on the younger ones). They are "loud" and fun. I have had offers of "sinful amounts of money" but these go to the kids that really need a little cheer in their lives. St Jude got some of them last year along with local pantry and food baskets. This year I am considering the centers of abuse of women and children. If anyone knows of where I can order them please let me know. You can PM me or just let me know via the board. Thanks for all those that help or at least try to help me.

    Carol

I used to find the plastic separating zippers, at Hancock's (before we moved).

    Try this place: http://www.zipperstop.com/

Edit: I should add that I ordered custom separating zippers from them for my midarm frame setup. They were exactly as ordered, but shipping was just a little on the slow side.

Hobby Lobby has them and the different colored crystal zippers. The crystal zippers look great in a sweatshirt jacket.

Hey thanks BellBoo..... We have a local Hobby Lobby so I will give them a call tomorrow. I have been on internet looking at Amazon but can't finish my order. Need a new computer but have to wait until $$$ is a little less tight! I did find a site that explained how to make separating zippers shorter..I tried it...we will see how it holds up. Need something that will not give the receiver of jackets any problems.
I just knew someone on the board could help. Thanks to all.

There is a company on line that sells zippers of all kinds cheaper that anywhere I have ever seen them. Actually there are two and they have a lot of the same merchandise. Try them. I get lots of items from them and my quilting group now does after seeing the selection. Web addresses are: www.homesew.com and www.newarkdressmaker.com.
