    She is a big girl, very sweet, and rescued from the feedlot (going to be dog food).

    So far we have "Tiny", Maggie, Sweet Pea, Luna, and Jeri. None of them have me swayed either way.
    I know my fellow quilters are a creative bunch. So, what's her name? ;-)

    When I was really young I lived in OK I had horses and all were named after Greek Gods/Goddesses. Maybe that's the reason why I have a minor in Greek mythology!

    I'd go for Athena or Aphrodite personally. :)

    You can also go for names of the stars in the sky, like Orion, Mars, Jupiter, Aldebaran, etc... You can join two names, to refer to the father of your horse, depending if there is a pedigree to respect. I agree that she is a lucky girl, so Lucky Girl would be my favorite, plus that whenever she will be doing something good, that name will be glued to her inevitably (or Good Girl).
