My mother once named a cat Foster because we weren't supposed to keep her. We kept her. Then there is the cat she has now, called "No Way" same story. Now his name has been shortened to "Way" and he dosn't understand what the word no means.

Years ago I had a black cat, youngest Daughter (about 10-12 YO) named him Jasmine, which is a white flower. He never meowed, always said BAAA or MAAA. He lived to be 19 years old. A very sweet cat.
My almost 13 YO black cat is Midnight, no real inventive on my part. A very sweet cat. Sometimes I call him Itty Baby and several other names. My other colored cats are Scammy and Herby.

Only you can decide on the name. We currently have Lizzie (the leaping lizard) she did not sit still when we first got her. Lizzie is a 14 month old tortie. Charlie is black and white and has a Charlie Chaplin mustache. Sophia is a calico and my son named her after a video game character. Oscar was going to be called Ted. He is about the most loveable ugly dog you can imagine.
