I am in Australia, my son is going to Miami next month to visit his fiancee, can anyone tell me where any good Quilt Shops are? He says he will bring me some material, but maybe would not realise that Quilting material is not the same as dress material (lol)
Thanks

The Quilt Scene in Miami.

Small shop, not a huge selection.
Going north, next would be in Ft. Lauderdale.

Meh.
Next is in Margate, north of Fort Lauderdale. I doubt he wants to spend the time to go up there (40 miles from Miami). That's a huge shop, though. If YOU ever come to visit the area, that's the one where you would want to trek to in order to enjoy the largest selection.

Oh, I'm sure they'll take a drive. I just didn't know if he wanted to spend time chasing down quilt shops on his vacation.
Did you think about ordering what you want from some of the US online site, having it shipped to the fiancee, and then he can bring it back to Australia? There's some great sales going on. Not that I'm trying to be an enabler or anything. Really. ;-)
You'd save a ton on shipping. Just a thought.
