I think I'll double the price I quoted... that ought to send them away. Of course, then I'll be kicking myself as I clean yet more stalls through the bitter winter. :?
Have I mentioned lately how glad I am to be done breeding so the selling will be over too?

Ah....but I see you are keeping mares. That just tells me that you are keeping your options open......I know you don't have to "own" your stud to have those mare stares

And I flipped through the PDA's for the 1st time and I noticed some titles like kaykay's mare stare...Are they posting them on PDA now? I missed them because of it??

Keeping a herd of mares has more to do with the tranquility of the herd than future babies. Jazz gets along with everyone nicely, but somehow he still stirs things up. And I find the mares easier to train/handle. They seem to retain what's been taught if I can't get to them for a week, whereas Jazz needs a reteaching of manners and a reworking of his herd bound issues... Things are very quiet in the pastures, but all mares is uneventful for the most part. They aren't as rough.

I think mare stare will be back in chit-chat--that post was another horse they were watching... but I could be wrong.
