I have discovered that my school has posted the open positions for Work Study Students (I am one of them), and I will be applying for a few different ones. So lets hope that I can get one of the jobs!!!

Me too. I'm thinking of getting a job in Financial Aid, especially since they want someone who can stay through summer 2011... which would be a great fit for me! I'd only need a week and half off at that time, and thats to do the volunteer thing I do each summer. It's just office work, but during the academic year we are not allowed to work more than 20 hours a week... I just hope they'll work with my academic schedule.
Also pay is based on experiance... so the minimum I can be paid is 8.25 (Ill. Minimum Wage) And that is still a good amount for me... I'll be able to get what I need, and maybe put a little away so that I can get stuff for family and stuff for Christmas and Birthdays... OH and support my Fabric Habit! But! That is all after I take out a good chunk and put it in my student account. We get paid every two weeks, so I should be able to put at least 200 each check. We'll see how it works though first!
