We have some Appalachian Americans right down the road from us! This is why we didn't name our dog Bubba  Don't know who would show up if we went outside and called him. Here Bubba.... here Bubba!!... hehehe

Okay, I guess I have to admit to being a mixed breed---half Kentucky hillbilly, half Illinois Flatlander but still all American! Dad used to tease mom about having one leg shorter than the other from standing sideways on the hills all the time.

I'm, like, 1/2 Valley Girl and, like, half Hillbilly Girl:)

Something just dawned on me-even though I was born in Cali, both parents were born and raised in WVa. Doesn't that make me a full blooded Hillbillie?! Ha!!!

Sorry Ditter43, I'm a descendant of the Hatfields, so we'll always be Hillbillies.

As a true Valley Girl (even if only 1/2 by osmosis), you didn't phrase that correctly. It should have been:

"Like, doesn't that make me like a full blooded Hillbillie?!"

Well, I still like being a Tennessee Hillbilly! I'm proud of the title, even if I was originally a north GA Hillbilly!
