Hobbies

I have the same this here. I only have one quilting friend and she's always so busy. The other friends look at you strange like if you mention any crafts. I think they just don't have to be creative in their life. Personally I couldn't stand it if I couldn't do something creative.

We were in between all these storms, they were on both sides of us. There is still a 3 yr old missing that was ripped from his Mothers arms where they and another were taking cover in the bath tub. So sad, lots of people searching still. prayers are needed for all

I have a friend that does great cross stitch and she taught me many years ago. We live in different cities now but when she visits we sit for hours and work on whatever we are doing. sometimes I quilt while she crosstiches. Another friend and I spent many hours making things for craft sales. She too lives in a different state now. I do not have anyone here to work with.

I have many hobbies. I agree with you on the ones that don't have any hobbies. Talking on the phone for hours is a hobby. I rather not be on the phone much. Thanks for sharing the photo. It's funny that I just finished sketching out that same pattern on graft paper - would love to do this in shades of one color.

I'm with you. I felt my friends are laughing at me when they find out that I crochet bonnets for our hospital, or when they see me fold little pieces of paper for my origami frame, or when I clean my stamp collections, or when I make tons of cards for our retreat. They ask how can I find time to do those thngs. I just say find a husband who will clean, cook, & shop for you, & loves to watch tv so he can leave you alone to your hobbies.
