More than likely wife was AT her sewing machine when they broke in. Good for her!

I have been broken into when I was home. The phrase 'paralysed with fear' is what describes the body's reaction.

Never would I use one of my machines! I did; however, have a daughter who played softball for several years and still have several of her bats laying around. 8-)
