    Thanks bunches fleas are a major problem here and Frontline and Advantage is money down the toilet they don't work and SIL is in TickHell so I will give her your recipe too

    Frontline was a godsend for my flea allergic dog, without it a single flea could cause him to itch for days!

    But, since we lost him this past year I will be looking for something a little less poisonous for the rest of us and hopefully this will work. Thanks for posting it!

    When you go outside where nats will bother you, put a dab of vanilla (cooking kind) on your temples. You can see the nats stop about a foot away from your face.

    another way to keep the gnats away is to wear a hat of some kind with a front to it...like a baseball cap....the gnats do not go under the brim. Odd, but true.

    Eucalyptus is poisonous to cats so I'd avoid that.
