I use that recipe too! Although I chose Suave kiwi because the smell was minimal and not flowery. It works so well and no ethanol like commercial fabric softener. ANd I make my own dry laundry soap. Had to try a couple of recipes as we have hard water but increasing the baking soda really helped.

Go "bad"? I'm not sure what you mean. It has 3 ingredients, and I've never heard of any of those ingredients going bad. Vinegar actually prevents bacterial growth, and I've had bottles of hair conditioner sitting in the cupboard for months, even a year or two, with no problem (I like to stock up on sales).

yea do know that you can just pour a small amount of the conditioner onto a dampened rag and throw it in the dryer with you clothes and it does the same thing. much easier I think.

Thanks for the tip. I always have large quantities of vinegar anyway. I use it mixed with distilled water to clean my CPAP and nebulizer.

Thanks -- may be able tolerate this fabric softener. I use vinegar in my rinse water anyway -- I have been doing this to get the soap residue out of the wash.
