    BLT= bologna-lettuce and tomato sandwiches -tomorrow is going to be 103 degrees so I'll be making an old family favorite Ice Cream and micro-wave popcorn then more ice cream for dessert :-)

    hominy is a Native American food that is made from corn.
    We can buy it now in our grocery stores, but Mama used to make it by boiling corn with lye and straining it, then rinsing very well.

    Now I buy it in "tins" and just pour it out of the can, like corn or any other vegetable. It looks like popped corn but has the texture of english peas?, no sweet taste.

    It tastes more like rice, kind of has that texture...

    DD & Grson will be here tomor.Gonna be 98*...whew! Thinking a meat loaf in slo cooker used in the garage,a big salad & garlic bread from toaster oven.
    Ice cream & cookies for later.DH always wants an eve snack.Almost forgot, a gallon pitcher of iced tea poured over lots of ice.

    Tuna fish salad or Chicken salad on lettuce, fresh sliced tomatoes and saltine crackers. A big glass of tea and you can't beat that for a hot summer supper.
