We had just colored a dozen eggs for Easter and I put them in a flat bowl on the kitchen table. They looked cute! Then I went out to grocery shop with my small daughter. Gretel, our German Shepherd, was home all alone. When we got back the eggs were gone! I could not figure out what happened because the rest of the house was undisturbed. I searched high and low and and there were no shells anywhere! Then I spied the tiniest bit of eggshell in the carpeting. She had eaten a whole dozen boiled eggs, shells and all! LOL

My daughter picked her out at the animal shelter. I grew up without being allowed to have any pets, so I had no idea what their behavior could be like in a family setting. I assumed that because the eggs were on the kitchen table she would not bother them. I was wrong! She was a wonderful dog!

This is a great video. I say this as a rascally dachshund is in my lap wondering how she can get my attention. If she were bigger this would be her. Along with her beagle buddy.
