It was basically about 30 deg F here most of today. About 4 inches of snow today as well. Temps to drop to low to mid 20's or below tonight so everything will freeze. Careful driving everyone!

Durango, CO - Mon AM -10, Tues AM -8. Right now at 9:30 it's +8. It takes at least 15 min to warm the Jeep up & it still creaks & groans when I start out. Has anyone tried "dog boots"? We normally take a mile walk with our dog in the AM
but we only make it 1/4mile before she starts limping or hopping even though she wants to continue. Do you think "boots" would work?

11 degrees this morning in northern Michigan. Lots of snow already. Two years ago, when we moved here, it was warm and dry at this time! I was told "Heavy snow before Christmas, means no snow the rest of the winter." We'll see if that is true. We have had over a foot total so far this fall....it isn't even officially winter yet!

This morning it is 5 degrees! Since last Friday, we have had a 5" snow, a 2" snow, and expecting more this weekend! DH already had 2 snow days off from school this year!

Let's just say that I'll be outside weeding this afternoon. Before you get irritated with me, just let me say that in the summer we mostly stay inside as it's too stinkin' hot to go outside. Even the nights are hot and humid here in the summer, so now I can enjoy living here. I lived in the North most of my life, so I understand what you are going through. Used to have to hang a quilt over unused outside doors to try to keep the heat inside.

Today it is 20 degrees below zero with a 39 degree below zero wind chill. I live in eastern ND. I think I will stay home today.
