My Mom used to babysit him. She had 5 kids, one more never made a difference!

We met working at summer camp as teenagers and celebrated 29 years of marriage last April. We survived a lot together before we married. He was in the Navy while I went to college; he was stationed on the East coast while I was on the West coast for 2 years; he briefly dated someone else while I was oblivious to the notion that two of the guys around me were crazy about me; he was on submarines and we couldn't communicate for 3 months at a time; I was here and had to deal with his alcoholic family... Never have two people been so happy to marry and start their lives together as we were on our wedding day. My mom told me that she had never seen someone so sure of anything as I was of getting married.

He was a friend's boyfriend. They were breaking up. She ent him to loan me a ladder so I could repair my roof. He actually fixed it while I fixed lunch. Then I had to leave for work. My dad was just arriving. The 2 of them spnet the rest of the day repairing my very run down Victorian cottage. After a couple of weeks, Dad insisted that I get to know him, because he would make a perfect husband for me. It turns out, much as I hated to admit it, that Dad was right. We've been married for 31 years.

My uncle said one day that I had married the son he always wanted.

We went to high school together - but didn't care for him. Later he was the college Sunday School teacher and I was in the class. The first question Dad asked when I said I had a date was "does he have long hair". Two months later we were engaged and two months after that married. Had lots of people counting months and wondering why we got married so quickly. Now almost 43 years -and still going.

We are from the same town (7500 people) and never crossed paths. We met on an online dating site! It took the vast internet to bring two people, living across town from each other, together. That was five years ago...we have been married for almost two years now and have a son now too :)

We'd been in the same homeroom together since 7th grade. His name started with G and mine with S. We sat alphabetically and did not meet until our senior year due to working on a schol play. Since I had gotten larengitis after long hours building sets and designing makeup and costumes they put me on usher duty with him so I didn't have to speak. It wasn't for several more year that we dated. It wasn't until he went into the military we got married.
