I came to Minnesota to visit an old friend over the holidays when my son was with his dad. I really didn't want to spend them alone. My friend introduced me to this recently divorced drummer/computer geek. After the holidays, I went back to Texas, but kept in touch with Ron though email. Emails became phone calls, which became visits every six weeks. This went on for 18 months. then I was out of vacation time at work and we were ready to take it to the next level. One of had to move. Since he had children in Minnesota and my son could move with me, I moved from Texas to Minnesota. We were married a year later and I believe it was meant to be. He is the best husband in the world.

I put my son in Big Brothers and Sisters of Houston and they matched him up with my hubby. well he wasn't my hubby then. after about a year, my son kept telling him to invite his Mom to ball games or bowling- and so it went.

I met Joe at the pool in the apt. complex where we both lived. That was 41 years ago and seems like yesterday.

His sister and I worked together. I got the flu and had to go home after telling her I needed lemon tea. She said she would drop off lemons after work, but asked him to instead. Well-- he came by with a big brown bag with about 30 lemons and a bag of sugar. Everyday, for a week, he was at my door asking if I needed lemons. :?:
33 yrs later he's still buying lemons when I get the "bug"!!!

I got mine at the Kresge 5 and Dime store's lunch counter. I worked at the store next door and ate most of my meals there when on a break. He just started working there as an asst mgr and the other assistants dared him to come over and introduce himself. He did. That was almost 38 years ago.

We met in a bar. I was bartending and hubby was a customer. I didn't really notice him much then but I dated two of his friends. After the bartending job I had a job driving a taxi and would spend the evening hours hanging out at a different bar tht one of my very good friends owned that was centrally located and that's when hubby and I started dating. We dated about two months and then he moved in and a year later we got married. That was 19 years ago.

Introduced by a friend. She was dating him. We didn't get together until later. Yes, she is still my friend, not to worry. Have been married 28 years. Still love him lots. He is my best friend. :D :D :D
