Went to church, fixed breakfast for lunch, cleaned the living room, caught the check book up, checking out the board, and plan to do a little sewing.

As always, on Sunday we went to church, then to lunch with friends. Then to see a friend who fell and broke rt. shoulder and rt. leg and is not doing well. Dh is on his computer working on stamp collecting and I am playing on my laptop. Friends just called and wanted us to meet them for grilled onion hamburgers this evening in the little town about 30 minutes away. So of course, we said yes!

We went to S.S. and Church and came home and had ham and beans and cornbread for lunch.
The guys are watching fb games so I have time to myself. I got an old Montgomery ward sewing machine at an auction yesterday.($3.00) I have oiled it and got things working again. It has cams and lots of fancy stitches so I hope to get it going right soon.
I plan to machine quilt 2 placemats today. I have the table runner finished. They need to be finished for a wedding shower this week.

Straightened up the kitchen, started working on DGD's quilt for Christmas. Didn't accomplish much on it though. Then while watching the NASCAR race, I worked on a sweater coat I started knitting 2 years ago. All I have left to do is sew the sleeves in and put some buttons on it. I'll do that tonight and be done with it. YEA!!!! Another project completed. Then all my knitting projects are done and ready to start on new ones. I call that a day of accomplishment.

Walked in the woods with DH and dogs as we do each Sunday morning. Good time to say prayers and thanks. Worked on the center square for Sydney's quilts. BBQ'd steaks for dinner with DH, who is now snoozing. He made deer antler pens after our walk today. Now here and half watching a TV movie abour race hourses. Soon it will be time to read students' papers! ARGG. Only 80 to go.

Did some chores outside, while our weather is nice. Put up the water hoses, cleaned behind the shop, took the shade cover down over the picnic table.
After I pry my butt out of this computer chair I have to start on a doll quilt for my nieces birthday.

Had a late nite at my niece's wedding about 3 hours away from home so today I have been pretty lazy. We went to church then out for lunch. Now I am wrapped up in a blanket (how can it go from 90+ one day to barely 60 two days later?) and playing on the laptop while kind of watching the Colts/Broncos game. And, I do not intend to do much else today!

I spent the day at a quilting guild workshop. It was a workshop on Shape Shifting - similar to Magic Tiles or Stack and Whack, but more freestyle. You just make curved cuts and don't use a ruler. I don't particularly like the one (not fond of one of the colours) I did but I may like it more when it is finished. The workshop was given by Ionne McCauley from British Columbia. Here is a link to her website.

Went for my morning walk, came home and started cooking Sunday lunch. Never sure who is going to show up, today had two families to come out. Always good to see kids and grandkids! Made brownies and sugar cookies.
