I was looking for info on making tea towels and found this thread. I am going to make some muslin tea towels. The site www.sew4home.com also has some nice tea towels ideas. Also found some blogs via google of home made ones.

I used homespun for towels for Christmas and everyone seemed to like them. From a yard I cut them 18x25(?) cuz 18x2=1yd. Then from what was left I made an odd sized towel. I cut a few inches off the length so it wasn't so long and narrow but they are almost all the same size. Seemed the best cutting to get the most for my money with wasting too much.

our wal Mart doesn't have the feedsaack towels. the have "BAR MOPS" whick is a glorified washcloth.
the other towels with stripes on them are expensive. They have other ones which are so thin, would
that be good. I can't see emb holding up on it. I'd love to make a buch but can't find anything.
a few yrs ago, at trget I got terry cloth ones 2/3. that was a good price.
