Lets just pray that it's not a repeat of the 1950's drought, which, I think, lasted from 1950 to 1957. Things are bad, but will hopefully get better, and soon.

Yesterday, the traffic report came on the radio while I was driving.....no traffic jam...yet...they were telling people that due to the "roads buckling" they had shut down five major roads in the Dallas/FW area! That's bad....the high this week here, was 111 degrees..that was the official temp. my thermometer was reading 115!
    I joined your prayer group.
    Thank you.

Yeah, hot hot hot here too! Yesterday it was still 104 at 8:00 p.m. The ground is so dry and hot, when you take a shower with the faucet turned all the way over to cold, the water is still warm!

We were hoping the tropical storm last week would bring rain, but it was actually a dud! Even south Texas where it came ashore got very little rain. Hope we get some relief soon!

The heat probably scared the bejesus out of that little ole tropical storm - hope it doesn't talk to it's bigger relatives and lets them come this direction!

I heard it would take two or three hurricanes to move this heat away from us.

I was just going to say that I'd about roads buckling from the heat but I couldn't remember where that was. Nothing like that here, yet, but our corn and bean crops are suffering mightily.
