Please add me to the list of those with Cabin Fever. I live in central NYS. We have been more fortunate than many but I am so sick and tired of the brutal temps and the snow. Spring can't come soon enough. I've been quilting up a storm, finishing many UFO's but am officially burned out. My patience and creativity have officially tanked. This too shall pass.

I am feeling grateful. We have had rain for the last week to 10 days. Our reservoirs were nearing drought conditions. As of this morning, the newspaper stated that we had gotten so much rain that they can let some water out. Letting water out helps the Chinook salmon get to their spawning grounds. So, let it rain. We need it.

PS Oregon is the only place I have lived where they do not curse the rain or run from it. People here seem to just take it in stride. Hey, it is rain, no biggie. Love them Oregonians or like my daughter says those Organicans.

We've had 41" of snow so far, which is about 10" more than normal for central MN. The real kicker is we've had 50 days of below zero temps. Everyone I talk to, is real sick of winter. However, we still have a good 2 1/2 months to go where we could still have snow on the ground. March is typically a snowy month for us. April not so much, but we've many times had snow fall in May.

The last of our snow is all gone here. They are calling for 65 on Tuesday- I am so tired of being cold. So I have decided to be a Bear next year. Yep me and my pups are curling up under all the quilts and take a long winter's nap.

I am so glad we decided to spend 6 months in AZ this year instead of 4. Hearing about snow and ice is SO much better than living with it. 35 years of it was enough! I sympathize most for those of you in the south who are not used to such nasty weather, thus not prepared for it -OVER AND OVER! It's just not fair! I agree - it's time for Spring.
