My grandpa used to feed me coffee-milk from a spoon when I was an infant. I am old now so I guess it didnt harm me. I still like coffee and coffee ice cream is my favorite flavor. A few months ago I had the idea to put a small pot on my nightstand so when I first wake I hit the switch and in a few minutes I have my cup in bed. I put a mug on the nightstand too.

I take lots of meds for my tummy. You drink one cup of the mild and it keeps you from
    needing meds? wow.
Get this: I can do this (Folgers), one cup with the 1/2 pkg. of the instant cocoa mix in it, but
I CANNOT drink tea, caffeinated or not. The tannic acids eat me alive!

Brilliant! Why didn’t I think of that?

Reading these posts reminds me of something strange- for being the ultimate coffee lover I really don't care for coffee ice-cream- weird, huh? I'm not an ice-cream lover though, although I love Graeter's Pumpkin in the Fall. Yum

Coffee is still "not my cup of tea."

I don't care for tea, either.

I think the person that has small coffee pot and mug on the nightstand is "the winner" so far.

My Dr. told me drinking black coffee is the best thing I could do for my liver. No sugar no milk. He said drink it all during the day if I wanted to. I asked another Dr. (just out of med school) and he said it was good for the liver according to the newer research. I add a little cinnamon to it. I don't need it first thing when I wake up but I do want a cup of coffee when I get my morning chores done and can sit and think about the rest of my day.

I grew up with both of my parents drinking coffee all day long, morning to night. My dad would have tea with supper, but the rest of the time, it was coffee coffee coffee. And I quickly learned that you did NOT talk to Momma until she'd had her first cup. Boy, was she cranky! LOL!

Interestingly, my sister and I both hate the stuff. Apparently we didn't inherit the "coffee-loving gene".
