We were married in 1964. There have been a few rough spots along the way but I can't imagine my life without him; nor would I want to. He's a wonderful guy and, despite all my mother's misgivings, he has been a great husband.

We have been married for almost 58 years come Jan 28th, 2012. Have been sweethearts for 3+ years before that. Met thru his sister fixing him up with me on a blind date. Wonderful years, time has gone so quickly. love him more today then when I married him. Good luck to those over 50 year marriages. Hope the rest can make it to that golden mark.

Older than the bumps on great gramma's chest.
Let's see...OMG, I just had an anniversary and we both forgot! Oct 17th made it 30 years. Now, what can I do to make it look like HE forgot???

We have been married 26 1/2 years. My DH is a wonderful designer by trade and on our 16th wedding anniversary he made me a wonderful card stating what a wonderful 15 years of marriage it had been. When I asked which year sucked it took him a couple of minutes to realize what he had done. He no longer notes the years in his cards.
When we were married in a church service in California our pastor, Father Ted gave him a 50 year sentence (we were on the older side for first marriages) so I am getting a little concerned what will happen in 23 1/2 years. In my mind we will both still be here on earth as I could not stand for him to go before me and to be honest I have too many quilts to finish to die anytime soon. Think he will renew the contract?
