My son and I are trying to convince my DH that we need a Maine Coon cat to join our 2 Australian Shepherds. What say you who have or have had a Maine Coon? Yes/No?

I've had three of them - they were Maine Coon Cat mix, all have the long fluffy fur, and the short legs. Had 4 different dogs and they all got along with them. They are quiet and the one I have now is definately a one person cat. She actually hides when anyone comes to visit, but when noone else is here - she won't let me out of her site.

Mozart, our Maine coone cat is a blessing. He is the gentle giant. I did not like cats - at all! He changed my mind and now he has 2 brothers, one sister that are cats and Papa bear, rottweiller dog. They get along very well. My vote is YES :)
