I have a book with different potholders patterns, some PP, some pieced, some applique. I have been adjusting size to make mug rugs. Just a thought for more variety.

Very clever, "On the River". Good ideas.

Thanks Dodee and Lab55.

I have made the needle cases using felt for the center page but then once I started adding print fabric I decided I liked that too. I try to make pockets in them also for little packages of needles or something. The more I think about it the more ideas I come up with. Been looking for a small enough pair of scissors that will actually cut to put in one of the pockets.

Ontheriver, do you have any photos of your mug rugs? Great idea for making mug rug patterns. I found a 1.5" long cabin pp square online and have thought of making a few of those to make up a mug rug. However, so far, I haven't wanted to deal with those tiny pieces. But, I will one day! There are some log cabin squares (blocks, sorry) that are a little larger also.

:-D

No photos, sorry. I usually give them away as gifts and I don't have any on hand right now. Will post pics of next batch.

I know what you mean. I have been trying really hard now to take photos of everything I make 'before' I wrap and give it away. Seem to make a little better progress. :-D
