How many quilters have a cat or two?

One cat right now, Isla, but MIL's got another Siamese Manx that DH helped her pick out. Brooklee Blue will be ours when/if and MIL is 89 so who knows?
Avatar, Teddi, left us October 1st :-( but 2 of her siblings and her Dad all live at the neighbors barn and they all visit us (lured by food LOL).

I have 6 cats - five outdoor rescued cats and one indoor rescue that has a neurological condition commonly called "head shake". That is why she is an indoor cat. We did have one more outdoor rescue, but we lost him last week when he wandered down our long lane and into the road. I miss him. Oh, and there is one more cat that we are trying to rescue, we feed him, but he won't come close to us yet. He lives in back of the grocery store we go to.
I would love to have dogs also, but the law here says they have to be fenced or chained. It would be tough to fence in our hilly property, even a small portion.

I have two indoor cats and two outdoor/formerly feral cats. I used to have 9 outdoor/feral cats until coyotes got 7 of them this spring. I have a yard that coyotes can't get into, but I guess those seven just strayed too far from it. I had even caught (not easy with feral cats...cages and everything) all my ferals and had them neutered so I wouldn't have too many cats. Didn't know the coyotes had other ideas. This is the first year the coyotes have gotten so close to our place.
I love seeing all the animals, dogs and cats, that inspect quilts. Such a helpful group. :)

My dear kitty has been gone 3 years, she was almost 18 years old...and I still will sometimes think I see her out of the corner of my eye...I hadn't gotten back into quilting until after she passed..We don't have another cat, and I doubt I will ever have one...I do love to see the pics on here where some of you have "helpers", though!
