I'm a donor ... not sure if they can take anything ... or if they can use anything (I'm blind in one eye, other is not good, only have one kidney) ... but if I can help one person out ... then I have done my part to improve someone's life.

Both my DH & I wish to be donors of anything that they can use. We don't want to waste anything that may help someone else.

I am, have been for to many years to count.
Hope the medical staff is on their toes when the time comes, and takes any and all the can be used.

I'm with all of you!!! If I can give someone a chance to have more time on earth with their loved ones that is a blessing. I also give blood every chance I get. I think it is a special and wonderful gift anyone can give. Just think if God forbid you or one you love needed it, you would hope it would be there for them. What goes around comes around I say.

I have signed my driver's license to be a donor. Question, I am diabetic, hypertensive, bipolar, arthritis...on medications for these, so wonder if my organs will be usable? If the answer is yes, they can have anything I was born with. I am getting a cataract on my right eye, think I need surgery now or soon, but hope to be able to help someone after I go.

I, too am signed up to donate organs, but as I have gotten waaay older than I ever thought I would be--I wonder, too if anyone would want my organs
Several years ago I saw on CSI where Gil Grissom had a 'body farm'. That intrigued me so much that I looked into it!! As I don't especially want to be buried or burned, I thought that laying out in some field or woods with other bodies would be a great alternative!!! (NOT that I will really know or care at that time-but it gives me peace now!)
There are several orgs that do this type of thing for scientific research. The other upside is no funeral charges!!

Me too! There are so many things that can be harvested - even skin for burn victims. It makes no sense to me NOT to recycle them.
