Congratulations!! I became a grandma at 39. My dd was only 18. Alexis, my DGD, had 4 great-grandma's and 3 great-grandpa's when she was born. We have since lost my Mom and my SIL's paternal grandfather. Both grandbabies are very lucky to be close to their grands and greats.

I agree....wholeheartedly!!! There is a long story about us being separated from that family of grandchildren for 12 years due to a bad situation. But we found them again when the oldest (the 20 year old) turned 18 and looked for us. It has been such a blessing getting to know her, and her brother just turned 18 and I have talked to him, too. Now the baby!! I have another grandchild by my natural daughter coming this July, so we will get 2 new ones this year!!

    We are TRULY blessed.

Congrats jljack!!! What fun to have a new baby!! We have 3 great grands. The only problem being I rarely see them!! We did get to babysit for a few hours with my youngest DGGD Adrianna a few weeks ago. I was 53 when I became a great grandma and my DH was 58. Our son was 32 when he became a grandpa!! Now that was weird!! I still have a hard time hearing Grandpa Nathan!! LOL My mom is a great great grandma at 75. So much fun to have the little ones to brighten your life!!!

    Looking forward to pictures!!!!

    Congrats. What a blessing.

Neither of my kids are married or have children. Doesn't look like that will be happening. So, I have furry Gkids.

    Congratulations!

None of our kids are even remotely looking like reproducing...and only one of them has a pet. I wish they'd get a move on, we will be to old to enjoy grandchildren otherwise. As for being a great grand...can't ever see that happening.
