Praise God the wind has died down at least temporarily.
Maybe now the firefighters can deal more effectively with what they are calling the Dyer Mill fire here in SE Texas. 56 sq miles have been evacuated as of late yesterday. DD among the many waiting to see if she still has a home.

We have had more snow and more rain than I even comprehend.
I swore I would never complain about the weather, however, we had one inch of rain last night, have been up since 2:00 AM with a dog that cannot tolerate thunder and/or lightning, and this is practically every night. We are expecting more rain later today, tomorrow, Thursday and whenever. This has not been a really pleasant Spring or Summer (today's the first day). It is chilly out, gloomy out, windy out and crappy out! Did manage a mile walk with the dog this AM though and she is nice and cuddled down with her blanket and is sleeping like a log and I am walking around in a daze.
I'll tell you one thing. We had 103 degrees 1-1/2 weeks ago and people were so happy and joyous and gleeful, not to mentioned sunburned!!!!! The next day it rained and has continued every day practically since. It has rained 31 times in the last two months - that's every other day.
That is how our weather is today! Edie
