keeping good vibes going out there for you, and as felicia said, I would call the police and have them come by again. also find out if they found anyone, it might be they found them, and 911 did not call you back.

no harm in having the police do a check, after all, that is what they do...

I think I'm staying up with you. I don't mean to, but your story was a bit unnerving. I'm so glad you are okay and that you handled it so well.

One person says to tell you have a gun, and another says not to tell you have a gun. I wonder the thinking behind both opinions.

Oh, Betty. What an evening. I just turned on quilt board and have read all the messages. Stay safe and don't hesitate to call 911 again if you have to. If they come again call for 'Bob' or any other man's name you can remember and pretend there is a guy there. Hope to hear good things from you in the morning.

My dh says the reason a woman shouldn't tell anyone (especially a male intruder) that she has a gun is because a male intruder will only laugh and try to come in any way thinking they can take the gun away from a woman and use it on her. Also, never aim a gun a anyone unless you really intend to shoot it. My dh is in the process of teaching me how to use our gun although we do live in the city and have lots of neighbors around us, i.e., on one corner is a state policeman and across the street is a deputy sheriff plus I have a security system that is hooked into the police department and they are here in 5 minutes or less if it goes off and we're not at home.

    Betty,
I'm up with you. You did all the right things.
I like the suggestion to call the police back and have them search the property.

Glad your safe! I think I would have called the police right away after watching them. Tell them not to use the siren either, that scared them away.

Could you give the police the description of the man you saw?
