I can't stand bad language or poor English.
I love the dry humor, too. Think George Gobble.
And who was the guy who got the most laughs when he did absolutely nothing? Just cross his arms, put one finger to his lips and look at you? Jack Benny.

I love dry humor like Mavita as well as totally off the cuff humor. My Mom and Husband have that type of humor. My type of humor sneaks up on people.
Today's "potty" humor is something I don't care for like Larry the Cable Guy. To me he is not funny at all. So I suppose I like old school humor from way back when.
I like a "dirty" joke now and then but not often.

Jeff Foxworthy. Ron White's "Tater Salad." Wanda Sykes. Chris Rock. Jonathan Winters. Old Richard Pryor movies. Old Jerry Lewis movies. Don Knotts. Phyllis Dillar. Carol Burnette (Went With the Wind, with Carol as Scarlett O'hara). Funny movies: Rocketman, Bad Grandpa, Meet the Parents, The Great Outdoors, & Funny Farm (with Chevy Chase. Favorite sitcom: King of Queens. Favorite Book "Sh_t My Dad Says".
I don't like a lot of crude or vulgar language when I watch stand-up. Some of the comedians I've mentioned are crude and vulgar and I wish they would tone it down, but there still funny. Bad Grandpa is very crude, but one of the funniest things I've ever seen. It's on Netflix. The book I've mentioned is crude, but so funny I couldn't put it down!

Emcee: Where did you and your husband first make whoopee?
Wife's answer: In the butt.
