Thank the Lord, Pam. Hurricanes are totally unpredictable and nothing to fool around with. After going through Hurricane Rita and Hurricane Ike, and still haven't been able to do all the repairs, we evacuate without any argument when another one comes knocking!

Inland then, that's a good thing. Not going to be pretty around the coastline. We're under Hurricane Warning now. They hope that we here in Onslow County will only get the Tropical Storm side of it, not the eye wall. That will be my prayer. Our governor has declared a state of emergency already.

Thanks so much. I think we are ready for it. Looks so far like wind and rain, we're stocked with what we need for food and batteries, flashlights and such and I hope your SIL is also and she will be fine. I've sat through a lot of these but this one is a biggie so yes I am a bit nervous. I just hope the Weather Channel is right.

Tell her to get out of there.....now! My son got caught down in Buxton during a huricane......and couldn't get home for 2 months.......they had to rebuild the road! Down there is nothing to play around with......they are doing mandatory evacuations down there now.

Hey MimiSharon if you need a place to stay, I'm in Fayetteville, only a couple of hours from you. You can pick up my son at Lejuene and bring him with ya too. His truck broke down last weekend.

I get a knot in my stomcach everytime a hurricane is heading this way. They are so unpredictable. My sister went thru Hurricane Andrew (she lives south of us) and the eye of Hurricane Wilma went right thru our city. It's scary since everything is boarded up and dark. If you are told to evacuate, PLEASE do so.

To all who may possibly be in the way of this hurricane, my prayers are with you for your safety. Find a safe place to evacuate and stock up on your supplies. NO hurricane is a good one.May the Lord be with you and yours.
