According to local news updates as of 4pm eastern time looks like the track will be bypassing Florida all together. We've had about the same amount of rain today as most so hopefully not much more. But keeping an eye on our northern neighbors and hoping most of it misses them as wel..

Feeder bands are the outer bands of the hurricane which when they are over water draw up more energy and warm water from the warm ocean. . The hurricane swirls in a counterclockwise circle and the outer swirls are the feeder bands. Luckily for us in Florida, this storm is well off shore from us so we are only getting rains and higher than normal (but hopefully not very strong) winds.
:-D :-D :-D Thank you so much for your post. You explained it much much better than I did. I even understand it better than what I said. LOL :-D :-D :-D

Well the people of New England have to get ready for the hurricane. I live in RI and we are on the high side of the storm. I am inland but still worried and getting all my out door furniture inside. Anyone else getting ready?
