So this weekend I finally got around to putting down vinyl self stick tile in our hallway. Already did the bathroom at the end of the hall and my sewing room just off the hallway. Did a pretty good job if I do say so myself.
Well today I was going to put down the molding that goes between the tile and carpet at the front door entrance. I was sitting there on the floor trying to figure out how I was going to
do the corner where the two pieces meet. WELL.... my dear DH says for me to get him a pencil, paper and a ruler for a straight line so he can so me what to do. He begin drawing and over lapping the pieces showing me where to mark each piece here and there and here and there to get a correct 45 degree angle. He couldn't get the pencil to mark so I got a sharpe and then said "I can do it no problem". ARE YOU SURE? he asks as it can only be cut once. Yes I assured him, as he had doubts I could tell. I went into my sewing room and got my handy dandy quilting ruler with a 45 degree line, made one mark on each piece and the cut was a Perfect Mitered Corner!
Needless to say he didn't have any comment. Sometimes ya
just gotta let him have their moment to theirselves to think about things! Oh yea, I used my little 6" quilting ruler to make other cuts on the tiles too!
Quilters can do anything!!!!! lol
