This quilter dies and goes to hell. She meets with the devil, and he takes her to a room with all sort of beautiful fabrics, the most fascinating machines, threads of all colors, sizes and textures, tables, materials, the hole thing. She looks at the devil and ask him, How can this be hell? I could spend eternity here with no problem. He looks at her and says...Do you see any needles?
I don't know how a quilter could end up in hell, but because I don't know where will I go, I want to be prepared. Anywhere as long as my MIL is not there...but she is not a quilter. She prefers to "buy her blankets", even though she asked me to maker her one.

Maride, I'm so sorry to hear you're having such problems. I'm skipping the four pages of replies, but I'm sure they contain all kinds of support and good advice.
To add my own, I would say that you have tried very hard to work with your MIL. At this point, you should just go to her and ask where she would like you to sleep, since she is unhappy with everything you've tried. if she does not have a reasonable solution, then stop worrying about pleasing her and just pick whichever sleeping arrangement makes you happy.

:ost mom and mil but my neice has a pip. Comes with all her own apppliances and condiments because her dil doesn't use the same ones. dil bought the brand of coffee mil liked. Mil said she had changed brands and refused to use it. While dil was at work mil went through her bedroom drawers, rearranged her kitchen cabinets, and shrunk three wool sweaters in the dryer. (no one asked her to do laundry).
Dil went to her husband he spoke to the mother, she was really offended. Now that there is a new babe there is no room for the mil. When she plans a trip up north, the dil conviently has a lot of overtime when in truth she goes to her mothers house and takes a nap.
So your time is limited just keep to yourself, buy some scraps and hand sew a few blocks. good luck
